Itinerary: 

Day 1: Whitehorse.

Arrival at Erik Nielsen International Airport in Whitehorse. Your guide will greet you; welcome in the Yukon!  

Night at the accommodation in Whitehorse downtown.

Day 2: Whitehorse-Champagne.

Today we drive on the world famous Alaska Highway to join our hosts Meta (Little Salmon Carmacks First Nation ) and Harrold (Champagne and Aishihik First Nation)`. We'll reach Kwaday Dan Kenji (Long Ago People's place) in an hour.

June 21st is the summer Solstice and since 2018 the Aboriginal Day, a statutory holiday to celebrate Indigenous Culture.

You'll discover how people were living in the past with just a few little things in the Yukon pristine wilderness and many other fascinating tales.

Lots of surprises today!

Breakfast+lunch+ traditional diner included .

Accommodation in a trapper's cabin or in a brush Shelter! Your choice!

Day 3 ;Champagne-Dawson City.

After a delicious breakfast with our hosts it's already time to say goodbye. 

We ll drive on the Klondike Highway North towards Dawson City. We ll pass many communities like Carmacks and Pelly Crossing; famous Yukon Quest check points (1000miles dogsledding race)  

At the end of the day we ll reach the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in traditonnal Territory.

A confortable night  in the Klondike Gold Rush history. 

Accommodation at the Downtown Hotel home of the world famous Sourtoe Cocktail ,a delicious drink with a human toe..

 

Day4:  Dawson City-Eagle Plain.

Today this is the Day! Just pronouncing the name of this road will take you beyond your dreams.... the only road crossing the Arctic Circle and reaching the Arctic Ocean in North America: the Dempster Highway!    

First powerful moments as we enter Tombstone Territorial Park unfolding its majestic mountains ranges and vibrant fall colors.  . 

Our journey continues in the Arctic Tundra , a spectacular show all along the way no matter the weather.! 

Accommodation Eagle  Plain Hôtel surronded by the Richardson Mountains. 

 

Day 5: Eagle Plain-Inuvik.

Another exciting day on the Dempster! Today we'll cross the Arctic Circle. Welcome in the midnight sun country : starting now the sun is not going to go down anymore.

In the same day we'll leave the Yukon to reach the Northwest Territories.  

Fort Mc Pherson and Tsiigehtchic are two indigenous communities to explore along the way. 

We are now slowly leaving the mountain ranges to travel across the infinite tundra around Inuvik.  

This nordic town is very fascinating: the igloo Church, the northernmost community greenhouse in Northern America and many other attractions.

Day 6: Inuvik-Tuktuyaktuk.  

 The excitement is at the maximum today! Departure for the last stretch of brand new gravel road leading to the Arctic Ocean and Tuk , a tiny Inuvialuit community. 

The time stopped long ago there under the midnight sun.   

We’ll discover shortly before arrival the famous Pingo landmark National Park home of those incredible cone shape ice structures. 

 Your heart is going faster; in front of you the infinite Beaufort Sea, entrance of the Arctic Ocean. We might see some sea ice even at this time of the year!

Day 7:  Tuktuyaktuk.

This morning we’ll meet Eileen Jacobson our Inuvialuit guide. She,s going to drive us around her hometown and the ancient traditions which are still existing today. Eileen has many surprises for us. Lots to listen, see and taste...  get ready to give it a try to local specialties!

Day8:  Tuktuyaktuk.

A special day to immerse yourself in the very special Tuk atmosphere on your own.

Day 9: Tuktuyaktuk-Inuvik.  

Some free time in Inuvik for shopping or just relaxing.

Day 10:  Inuvik-Eagle Plain.  

Yes we are again on the Dempster but the return journey is totally different and we might have the opportunity to do some tiny hikes around

Day 11: Eagle Plain-Dawson City.   

Our epic drive on the Dempster is now coming to an end.  

We are back in the vibrant historic Dawson City!

Day 12:  Dawson City

Let ‘s celebrate Canada Day today. A very exciting day in the Gold Rush town.

Day 13 :  Dawson City-Whitehorse.  

It’s time to go back to Whitehorse, we are back on the Klondike Highway. Usually coming back to town is not very exciting but not today!  

The vibrant Adaka Cultural Festival is waiting for us at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Center.

Day 13: Whitehorse International Airport. 

It’s time to say goodbye with lifetime memories. 

We’ll drop you off at the Airport.
